Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Simply boot up the game
What happens when the bug occurs? The Sims 4 Cozy Celebrations Event has me stuck on the task for cloudgazing or stargazing, and despite engaging in that action with my sims, the task never completes and I am awarded no progress towards the event or its items.
What do you expect to see? Engaging in the task does not grant me the reward or reflect that the task was completed.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
I'm experiencing a glitch with the Cozy Celebrations event in which I can no longer make progress. The task listed it to cloud or stargaze, and despite engaging in that action multiple times, I am being awarded no event progress and the task is not completing. I have removed all script mods and CC, and have also attempted to complete this by switching households, restarting my game, and booting up a separate save. Hoping someone has a fix, because I want the hedge so badly.
This is a ridiculous amount of work for players, who expect the game to work without them having to reinvent the wheel every time something does not work as it should. I'm personally too busy in my real life to do all of this. Sad, because I have all other cozy event rewards. But, this is a new character that I just created this evening. I cannot even get the Festive Frame TV yet, because she simply doesn't have the extra cash lying around. She did buy an appliance and made hot cocoa and hot cocoa with marshmellows, drinking both of them.
The game should be able to recognize this.
Furthermore, I just re-installed my game very late last night. My computer had crashed yesterday and I had to completely reinstall Windows. Then reinstalled this. Then created a new character.
I think those are enough hoops to jump through. It certainly ate up a good 12 hours out of my life already, and shortly before Christmas.
Please either make the game work correctly, or let's just leave these events out.
I deleted both these and its still not completing the task :/Nevermind, it took 3 attempts at deleting for it to work, not sure what was going wrong but 3rd times lucky!
I’ve been having the same issue and the only difference is is that I’m on Xbox so I don’t really know what to do to properly fix my issue other than possibly making a new save and trying it there. I am also the same way with the hedges~ I think they are super cute and I want the new trait.
I just had my sim try and do it again And it still didn’t work.
I tried it with another Sim and it still isn’t working
i’m going to try a new save next.

I tried a new save but nada , nothing changed BUT on the bright side I got 24 achievements I didn’t ever get to get til now because I used cheats~ so I guess something good came out of it!
This message has been completely updated and changed. The event was not originally popping up but now it is again, but on the bright side is that it’s (the event) has restarted. I still have the progress for getting the stuff in the event. So I’m hoping by doing the steps that I’ve already done for the first week and I won’t have any more problems.
And after playing for a couple of minutes and trying it out and getting all of the other steps done, the cloud gaze is still not working ;-; i’ve given it time, i’ve moved the mat. I’ve made sure that all of my sims needs were met and I’m just really at a loss for it.. idk what to say other than it just isn’t working ;-;
I laughably feel so dumb right now, but I feel like I’m not the only one who went through this I put down the mat that says Skygazer something or whatever that lets you do exactly that and it wasn’t working the whole entire time but until I selected one of my Sims and selected stargaze without them laying on it it instantly did it. I think a lot of people are doing exactly that or it could be nothing at all and just some silly coincidence but I got it done.
I genuinely feel so stupid
