Well sadly if you are hoping to hear from EA, you may be waiting literal years. For my particular files I think I narrowed it down to when I added a residential rental from the gallery, after reading through the thread here I went back and looked at my save file and it was double the size of my other saved that I have been playing for over a year. So I think maybe it’s related to the size of your file but I can’t be sure because the game has so many bugs it’s hard to know what drives what.

Unfortunately I haven’t found any solution to the problem. Some of my older versions of the save still seem to be okay, so I’ve gone back and forth between these older versions and trying to recreate a new version of my save. Really disappointing when you’ve put so much time and effort into a save file. I haven’t even turned on the game in a few weeks because it’s so frustrating. Sorry I don’t have any better news.
