[ARCHIVED] [DU] Floating Bike Pedals

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? Svenska
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.99.305.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All packs. Kits: Fashion Street, Carnaval Streetwear, Moonlight Chic, Desert Luxe
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a sim use the "Bicycle... Bicycle!" bike from Discover University.
What happens when the bug occurs? The pedals are broken. (See pictures below)
What do you expect to see? Pedals not being broken.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I've tried with several different sims, and I've tried the bikes from Discover University, Cottage Living, and Growing Together. It seems like only the Discover University bike has broken pedals.

    Unfortunately this bug has not been fixed yet. ☹️

    I have now created a fix for this issue for players on PC and Mac. You can download it at MTS here> https://modthesims.info/d/686552

    If and when EA get to fixing this themselves, simply remove the package from your mods folder.

    @SqueamishNerdI just managed to make a fix for it. I'll come back and provide a link as soon as I get it uploaded somewhere. Probably won't be for another day or two though.

    @Alistu Yeah, I don’t know why the title was changed, it says in crinrict’s edit at the bottom of the first post that it’s to find it easier, but the pedals aren’t invisible, they’re broken

    I just noticed this in my own game a few days ago. I've never really looked at the bikes before. Thing is, the pedals aren't invisible, as the title suggests. They just aren't connected to the pedal bars and instead rotate in a much larger arc than they should meaining they either float or sink through the ground. They also rotate opposite to the correct foot. So If the Sim's right foot is at the top of the arc, the right pedal is at the bottom and vice versa.

    I've also noticed that the Mountain Bike from GRO doesn't tilt when placed in the world or dismounted from which means the bike "snaps" into place when Sims get on or off. I guess that will need its own bug report though.
