I am also having this issue. The inside of each is about starter home value. When I bought the building and tried to fill my vacancies, the rent was defaulted to $-1/day
I have this weird issue too. On mapview you see the rent in billions but on live mode in my sim's owned businesses it says -1. I had other issues as well related to this new expansion where 2 out of 3 units are showing on the owned businesses and where unit 2 showed in double so I had to : evict everyone from mapview because I couldn't see the renter in live mode, change to Residential lot , save, quit the game, delete the cache files, restart my PC and try again. It's still the same rent in billions on mapview and this -1 rent on live mode. It's frustrating but I hope that a patch is coming soon enough to fix these bugs.
Currently the saver way to fix this issue seems to be to save the lot to the gallery/library then bulldoze the lot (both terrain and house) and replace.
Switching can lead to a whole lot of other issues.
Tried the temp fix for the save the bulldoze, but trying to doesn't let me because I have another bug (sep thread where evicted units are uneditable) meaning i cant bulldoze/nothing happens when i do. Means i cant play the pack at all right now. Think im stuck with both these bugs for now and physically cant continue to play till theyre addressed. Shame since i spent a decent amount on it.
