There is a known issue where console players need to use an external keyboard/mouse to change the rent amount in these boxes.

To be clear, are you also having the bug whose thread you posted on, where the rent is an impossibly high number?

I'm not on console, just PC tho.
Fortunately the bug with the overpriced rentals were fixed for me, but I still have the bug where my rent is negative. Because of this, there is no point to own a residential rental since we don't have income from it and we can't edit the prices... 😞
