I don't think I've had this glitch before but after the most recent update, I built apartments on a penthouse lot in San Muyshuno. 5 of 6 units have the rents listed as over 4 million simoleons. Only one is a normal rent amount.
ETA: I saved, quit and when I entered the game again, the rents were all normal amounts.
So.... is there any update on this? Doesn't seem to be fixed yet as I just added a new apartment lot from the gallery and same issue. I tried saving as residential and then switching it back (annoying because you have to remap all the units), and I also uploaded to my gallery, bulldozed the lot and terrain and replaced it. Same issue. One unit is reasonable rent, the others are all 4.2 billion.
Sigh...
I had high hopes for my college grads but that may be asking too much.

I also just had this issue for the first time (game fully updated, on console). I was creating some student rooms that were very small and cheap… I tried saving and restarting the game but it didn’t fix it - instead it seems even more bugged now. So frustrating.
My initial issue was actually a bit different too: when hovering over the lot it only listed one unit with rent of $99 and the unit name “XXXXXXXXXXX”. After clicking on it and hovering over the individual units I could see the 4 billion rent prices for a couple of the units. I couldn’t actually see the info about one of the units at all, so it seems like it was bugged from the beginning.
Edit: I reverted to an earlier save and tried it again - same thing happened. Then I tried a third time and tried saving after assigning the units, before going to manage worlds, and I got the save error 300:687720a6:723f1b37.
I think this is more than just the high rent issue - if anyone has a workaround to suggest I’d be grateful. My save already has many rental units but I’ve never had corruption issues (so far 🤞) and I’ve never used the cheat for more than 6 units.

So I just counted all the residential rental units in my save file and before converting this lot into a rental I had 39 units. I suppose my issue is simply me hitting the game’s limit of 40 units. I wish there was some kind of warning!
Adding on here: I tried removing a unit from another lot then converting this lot to a res rental with only 1 unit and the issue still happened. Does the 40 unit limit mean that I can never make any more residential rentals in my save file? 🤯😵💫
