Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? My Sim has a building (a residential rental) with 5 other flats (the Sim also lives in the building). Rent collection never happens. My Sim never gets to collect rent from the tenants. My understanding is that there is supposed to pop up a notification about rent collection daily, but it fails to appear. The days pass and my Sim only gets poorer and all the tenants live for free.
What happens when the bug occurs? My Sim never gets paid. I even went to the manage worlds screen and the rent is explicit when the mouse hovers over the building. For each flat.
What do you expect to see? I expect tenants to pay the rent they are due.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
To show you the bug I'd have to record at least an entire day of gameplay. Basically, I made this Sims, made a building, and made sure the building type is Residential Rental. Put tenants in all 5 units, but my Sim is not collecting rent.
I looked up online in some forums and a lot of people are reporting the same issue. No one has found a fix for this yet. It seems like a pretty serious bug to me, as I want my Sim to live just from the rent income, no other job.
