[ARCHIVED] [GRO] Milestones disappearing/resetting with rotational play

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.103.315.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except Star Wars
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Rotational play and view milestones of played sims. Also cannot view milestones for previous ages, show as 'unavailable'.
What happens when the bug occurs? I rotational play (across approx 50 households currently) and each time I load a different existing household to play, a lot of their milestones have disappeared and only basic ones remain and every time show as 'new' milestones. Cannot click on previous milestones age spans either, show has 'unavailable'
What do you expect to see? Milestones to remain, even when playing across different households. Milestones for previous ages to remain viewable.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

For example, one of my sims has fallen in love, engaged, married, two kids, divorced, experience fires etc. and now has a new romantic partner but her milestones show milestones for new partner only, her two kids, and new/promoted job; nothing referencing all her previous life experiences which is very frustrating. 

Milestones for any previous age groups show as 'unavailable', even if played the sim since a birth. 

Have a small number of mods but have also played the game without for short periods of time and issue remains. 

I believe this has always been an issue, not due to particular patch/update. I know a recent patch apparently fixed part of this, but doesn't seem to have solved playing rotationally.

    HI @laurenjb028 

    Try the following

    • Close the game
    • Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    • Repair the game
    • Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry
    • Start a new save game
    • Check if you still have the error
    • Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

    Haven't seen any other reports since it was fixed (rotational has been fixed a while ago and the specific with visiting in the last patch), so please try a fresh game to see if it happens there too

    This happened to me too ☹️

    I just checked all my households and this happened to only one of them, but it's one of my oldest households + also probably the one that hasn't been played with for the longest. None of my other households were affected, but This one had 2 adults, a teen, a child, and a baby, and they all have been affected. The baby was previously at least sitting up, and has forgotten everything except smile. The new milestone noise and animation will trigger and the sims around the baby reacted but it wouldn't learn any actual new milestones ☹️

    @crinrict Hiiii I'm having this issue too. When i rotate households my milestones are there. When they age up however they are all gone.
