Yeah I did that before. The issue is still there. And this time no matter how much I roll back it never gets fixed.
I haven't played the game in 3 months because I don't want to make another save AGAIN and it to break a month later again for the 100th time.
I've even talked to ea and they have no clue.
Ever since this started to become a real big problem for me (i.e playing on one family for ages then discovering all my other families houses are gone and i can't go back far enough to recover them) I begun making constant back ups for the saves that I play.
I'd advise doing that so that you can continue playing and so that you can keep every version of your saves somewhere safe.
Doing this I was able to back track a save through about... 10 versions (so many purely because I just didn't notice the issue). And if a lot of progress is lost, there are script mods out there which allow you to cheat progress to bring it back to its latest state (or as near as).

yeah i might do that, but it will take me like a week to get my save back by uploading everything to the gallery.
BUT
I did some thinking. And everyone in this thread should let me know if that was the case too, or it's just a coincidence, every time there was an update, my current save, aka the most played, broke. EVERY. UPDATE.
So, what if, we just take our saves out of the game like we would do mods when we update the game, would that work?

To be honest I haven't paid attention to whether or not it happens due to updates but it's a good suggestion.
I had a theory that it may happen on saves where you've used testingcheats but tbh I don't think it's related.

I'm going to ask other people this. But did it happen after you downloaded a save and didn't have all the packs? Bc I thought that was it at first but then it happened in a game save of mine that I made. So I am very confused.
