Darn, that's alarming to know that it spread to Oasis Springs, too 😢 I guess literally NOTHING is safe in this game.
Thankfully, I haven't encountered any issues in OS...yet...but I will definitely start backing up my faves in that world.
Almost 600 replies and no resolution. There's no work around. It's ridiculous that people including me spent thousands of dollars on this game and the game is barely playable.
- 10 months ago@MrJamesNguyen The saddest thing is that there are many similar topics. There are more than 1000 messages.
Especially: Orange/Green Exclamation signs over lots / Houses disappear AND
Default Lots Showing in Surrounding World.
Signs. 1) Neighboring lots are displayed as default, although they were built. 2) Over time, they cannot be opened in any mode, save is broken. 3) Green and orange marks that are now hidden (only above community lots they can sometimes be seen). 4) The problem most often starts if you touch community lots or rent in Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Mongolia Promenade and Hanford, etc. Almost guaranteed, if you change 4 community lots in Willow Creek. 5) Any community lot changed to residential, over time turns back into a community lot along with residents and breaks the game. 6) This whole process has a delay and spreads to all worlds. That's all I noticed.- RougeEcho10 months agoSeasoned Novice
I'm also experiencing these issues.
When I try to load into Oakenstead lot it never load in and gives me error 800. I do not have a previous save where this would not happen.
I have tried:
Removing all mods
Restarting computer
Updating all drives (on both Nvidia and Intel) and all other windows updates.
Repairing game
Deleting local thumbcache
Removing Sims 4 folder from documents, starting game, inserting only the one save and nothing else.
Nothing works. This error is also accompanied by being unable to load or exit numerous random other lots or households. When I try to enter a household or build buy lot it will go into a loading screen that does not end forcing me to manually shut off game through task manager. This causes me to save all data if I had managed to play a bit and renders the game unplayable. The game was fine before the Lovestruck update.
I tried all the steps mentioned in the error 800 along with trying to create a new save and the error persists in the new blank saves too.
I have scoured the internet and forums for solutions and spent hours trying to fix it this week but nothing works.

I was able to load one of my legacy builds I saved from early 2024. I went in and deleted all the Rental Properties I had in New Crest, Oasis Springs, Willow Creek (The main free Cities). I have rental properties in the other remaining DLC cities . I turned all my rentals to NPC owned rental properties, so that i won't have problems with the Rental menus. The game is running fine...UNTIL, I go in and start adding things to my existing rental properties. So far, only Willow Creek will revert back to the original properties. Basically the whole neighborhood that you built disappears and the original EA lots will appear. When you try to load into the lot, it's corrupted. Oasis Springs and New Crest however, your lots will still appear but you can't load them. Infinite loading screens. Again, load a save where it's not corrupted and delete all the rental residential in that neighborhood. There's really no way around this. I don't think the guys at EA can fix your corrupted lots however, I hope they can make a patch or fix that prevents this from happening. What I'm reading here, it's not just the 3 free Cities are having issues, it's basically ALL cities.
