Updating to add that it happened again on a completely different save (this one was particularly upsetting). I was moving out of the Duplantier Dwelling and into the empty Pancakes house - keep furniture, unfurnished house, should have had $7000 and change leftover... once I arrived at the new house I had nothing in my household inventory and my household funds were somehow in the negative?!?! REALLY hope this gets fixed soon because I hate not being able to move :'(
- crinrict2 years agoHero+@fancyfeet711 Do you have a backup from before it happened ? Check the automatic backups too (https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/recover-backup-save-game/).
If you do, does it happen again if you do the same steps ?
If so, would you mind sending me your save game ? Instructions in my signature (would need a save from before you moved)- 2 years ago
I had quit without saving after I tried moving last night so I was just able to go back and try it again... same thing. I'll attached screenshots of the process here.

One more update: I went back and did the same move as above, except I evicted the family from the house before starting the move process (I was evicting them as part of the process last time), and I selected "keep furniture", which should have moved me with over $61k... I showed up with the same -$30k >.<
