WORKAROUND: The simplest solution is to open Buy mode before you move, then put everything you want to keep in your household inventory. That way you can also sell the rest of the furniture as part of the move and leave a usable house behind. Keeping the furniture leaves the house unusable, because NPCs won't move into a house that has no beds.

I did another test and keep furniture is working as expected for me.

@LuminDidIt Did you also try multiple saves ?
