@xobaybebritox I'm having the same problem. Whenever my sim uses the stove/fridge the simulation lag takes so long for the menu to pop up. It's incredibly frustrating, especially because cottage living added new cooking options like canning that I really want to play through but it takes so long to cook anything now.

    Possible Fix?

    • What did I do?
      • OK so I went through my Personal Inventory and as able to clear out over 2,000-3,000 of fruits and herbs
      • I also removed my all of my gems, metals, and fossils into the Ornate Beauty storage trunk.
    • Result:
      • Reduced my lag from 45 second to 11 seconds (I used a timer)

    Clearly this is effecting things, but not the problem because a 10 second lag is still not acceptable.

    • Issue:
      • Either EA needs to fix whatever was changed in the new patch or expansion that messed with the personal inventory effecting the Fridge and Stove
      • If Inventory has a "limit" it should be listed, or we should not be able to use more storage than the limit
      • Wondering if the fact that canning was introduces to this game that is effecting this portion of the game?

    I’m having the same issue but I’m on ps4! The stove/fridge seems to be a common issue from what I can see. It’s unbearable.

      It does that to me too, im on PC. Since Country Living, game takes a very long time to load the fridge menu, oven and sometime pc menu, but I would say PC menu always have been longer to load than anything else. Now it takes longer for the fridge and oven menues to pop up. There is also delays for interaction to queue up.

        This! I almost forgot about the queue lag. In my case it takes about 20-30 sec before the cooking interaction will show. I now cheat Sims needs because cooking lost its fun since of all these bugs/lags.

      Okay so ever since I downloaded Cottage living, I am having the same issue as other:

      • Lagging when clicked on refrigerator or stove
      • Sims sometimes stand around and I’d have to reset them
      • After woohoo sims will stay in bed to be “sleep” but won’t get up when an interaction is in queue,
      • My butler makes a T shape with arms and causes dust bunnies to appear if area is dusty.
      • At the top left where the goal meter is, that gets moved to where it’s cut off and shortly after, the display bar at the bottom disappears and I’m unable to click on anything.
