[ARCHIVED] [LD] Rebirth: Sims disappear off screen

I've thus far been unable to Rebirth, also.

My first Sim was in a 2-Sim household and when I rebirthed, her portrait went transparent (the way it does when a Sim is away from the lot). But nothing happened. I went into Manage Worlds (and, out of autopilot, hit "Save and Manage Worlds" - big mistake, huge), wondering if it would trigger CAS. And my household only contained the other Sim she lived with. But she was nowhere to be found - nowhere in manage world. I even created a Sim and placed it but it didn't have the rebirth trait it was suppose to have from completing the Soul's Journey. She was just gone.

So I tried again and stayed single (thinking maybe it had something to do with having more than one Sim in the household), took a different direction with my Sim's life (and death), completed the Soul's Journey and attempted rebirth again (saving beforehand this time). I was hoping after the patch it'd work but same thing as others are having, also. Her portrait goes transparent and then the world moves on - nothing happens. I tried 3 times (after the second time I quick the entire game and ran a quick "Repair", but that didn't work).

The only notable thing this time around is each time right after rebirth, she gets the "Burned out" notice. All three times, right after confirming the rebirth and she goes transparent she gets Brunt out. Neither Sim has had the Romance traits quoted in this thread. Notes:

• The kid/teen traits were cheated in. I'd worked hard giving my original Sim a full and fulfilling life and was pretty annoyed when I lost her to the void. Since my ultimate goal was to experience Rebirth, I was kinda just trying to recreate her and get to that point as fast as possible. So I created a young adult ghost and the youth traits + ancient bloodline were cheated.
• Both Sims were spellcasters
• Both completed the Soul's Journey but neither maxed out their Ghost Mastery
• I don't use mods.
• Sim #1 was a Reaper, this Sim did Undertaking then quit when she had more Simoleans than she could spend in her.... er.... "lifetime".
• This Sim completed the Lady Ravendancer tarot deck (Sim #1 did not)

Figured since my Sims didn't have the trait others were having issues with, I'd provide as much information as possible to see if we can figure out another correlation.

Like others, hoping this gets figured out soon.
