Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Microsoft XBOX One
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.34
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Discover University, Backyard Stuff, Seasons, Cats and Dogs, Spa Day, Laundry Day Stuff, Spooky Stuff, Toddler Stuff, Parenthood, Get to Work, Strangerville, Cool Kitchen Stuff, Movie Hangout Stuff, Dine Out, Get Famous, Outdoor Retreat, Vampires, City Living, Island Living, Fitness Stuff, Moschino Stuff, Tiny Living Stuff Pack
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Lock a door and then allow a sim to leave the lot, such as for a job. When they return they're able to ignore all locks
What happens when the bug occurs? After leaving a lot, such as for a job, all locked doors are no longer locked
What do you expect to see? Locked doors to work normally - regardless if they're inward or outward facing doors.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
On more than one occasion, if a sim leave a lot, such as if they go to a job, all doors on a lot are no longer locked when they return to the original lot.. Regardless of the reason they leave a lot, when they return, all locked doors are unlocked. As a result, I either cannot have a sim go to a job, or leave the lot for whatever reason - knowing when they return, all locked doors will be unlocked.

Oh that was one of the things meant to be fixed in the Nov 10th patch! I assume you're all patched up? Yup 1.34 you have said. Have you tried saving your game just before travelling away from lot?
- crinrict5 years agoHero+@TheSolidRequiem Is this different from your report in June: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Locked-doors-not-working-when-a-sim-leaves-the-lot/m-p/9245507 ?

The house I am playing in has very small bedrooms (its a Gallery house). I did exactly as the fix said, and turned one door around. My sim who was in the bedroom, when I did this was then stuck inside the room. In this case, the workaround was to remove all the bedroom doors in the house. It's hardly a perfect fix, but at least no one can get stuck inside rooms anymore - but of course I've lost the ability to lock any doors.
The fact I am trying to simulate a Prison, where all bedrooms should be lockable (as they are in real life), I guess it doesn't matter. And since this is a lot I downloaded from the gallery, specifically for this purpose, it hardly makes sense that I have to make allocations and simply accept a fix which in this case doesn't apply.

- 5 years ago@TheSolidRequiem Except that if this is a player-made building rather than something that came with the game you can't necessarily assume it has no errors in the way the doors have been applied.
- crinrict5 years agoHero+@TheSolidRequiem But that's the same you reported in June ?

As of the moment of this writing, I will rescind my earlier statements concerning doors not locking. I was able to find a sliding door which appears to do what I need. But as I've noted in the past, things which are working on one play session have a tendency to suddenly not work.
