I´m having this issue aswell. I tried to remove the anny by deleting her from the "sims World" but that made things only worse: now 5 nannies are running around in my home. It makes playing with this household impossible now. This bug report was 2 years ago. Is there seriously still no solution to a huge bug like this?!
I don´t play with any mods.
I've had it in my old save. The nanny still came and came. What's worse, it was an ugly Sim with a weird name and I couldn't stop him from coming to my house almost everyday. He sunk so much into my memory that I remeber his face and name to this day!
I also had this issue in my legacy save. I ended up giving this nanny a nice makeover and accepting her as a family friend - because that was the only idea I came up with. I still play with that save - I've made a few household splits and moved to another parcel and stopped thinking about a nanny problem. But this post have made me realize that I have been avoiding nannies since then and only use daycare instead. The second reason is that the nanny is taking poor care for children and the children needs was low.
