Hi I had this issue today and FIXED it! They got married but the game didn’t register it on some level. 

i used the cheat “testingcheats on” and shift + click on the sim I wanted to marry. choose “marriages” then “marry (spouse name) only” - this instantly gave them both the moodlets and recognized the marriage. then we could cut the cake too! 🙂
