Im also having the same problem and idk what to do I really want it to be fixed please
Not sure if this is the case for everyone else but in my game, but when I go check the community lots in Willow Creek and I see the orange triangles that contain the exclamation points, I go back to manage worlds and go into a world that has a build that I no longer need or one that came with the game or expansion pack and delete the lot or enough lots until the warnings above the lots disappear. Do not save the game with the warning signs because once it’s saved, it’s too late to correct the exclamation point problem. I have tested this over and over and it consistently works which tells me that the memory capacity of the game itself, not the PC as I have the latest powerful gaming PC with an I9 processor and 4090 Nvidia graphics card, has been exceeded. It was hard for me at first to believe this because after searching hundreds of posts about Sims 4, exceeding the memory capability of the game is never mentioned for some reason so I am sure most people think that this is not possible. CC or no CC does not matter. I first noticed the exclamation point errors above lots after the For Rent expansion pack. I tested this theory by downloading a house that I knew was large enough to trigger the error and it did. Then, I went back and started deleting unsused builds in different worlds while each time going back and checking the lot that had the error and eventually, the error disappeared. Even adding additional sims or adding clothing to sims will trigger the lot error if the games memory is at capacity which also happened in my game. Clearing caches, repairing the game, removing mods and cc, have no effect with clearing these errors. So far, I have found the only way to clear them is to remove lots or sims which I did not want to delete any of my sims or reduce their outfits so it was easier just to remove unused builds. The corrupt save happens once you save the game with a lot that has an exclamation point. Therefore, until EA can correct this and I think it will be very difficult for them to fix, I go back and often check the lots in Willow Creek or wherever else this error appears before I save the game. Periodically, I go back and check every lot in every world to make sure the error has not affected any other lots. This is very tedious but it is much easier for me to do this than to lose hours of progress because of a corrupt save file. I am not sure why I have never seen any posts regarding this so again, maybe it’s just my game only where this happens. Adding more memory capacity to the game I would think would be an almost impossible task for EA at this point since they have made the game so that it can play on almost any type of PC and adding more memory capacity could trigger the need for players to have more expensive pc ‘s in order to play the game so I don’t know what the fix for this would be.

I have noticed this too. if I add a household or a lot i have to delete either sims or lots or if i decorate or add a household to a lot that has been empty . if i delete households i dont really play or lots i dont really play the exclamation points go away. but im at the point i dont want to delete anymore and tired of everytime i make a change i have to check all the worlds before i can save. I also noticed once my sims visit the highschool it happens again.now the really messed up part this is not exact.I saved after checking everything was fine, and still next time I opened the save there were the exclamation point again same lot in willow creek. dont just save..always save as everytime you make a change or play a household. Sick of this

I make it a habit to save my lots and sims to gallery everytime i work on them before I do a save as just in case the save is corrupt before I notice

Does deleting items from the gallery have a similiar impact? For example would deleting old lots & sims in your gallery have the same affect on removing the exclamation marks?

It was the same for me.
I tried to create new saves with my sims and lots from the save that is broken (saved them to the gallery and placed them in a new save).
But the problem came back every time.
I was able to create a savefile that is near breaking (1-3 households more and it breaks) and if i deleted a lot or household i was able to place more. (Only in the game, deleting households or lots in the gallery dodnt change anything for me)
At the moment i am at save try number 4.
And i was able to place every lot i wanted and every household. No exclamination mark anywhere until now. But it was a lot of work.
I have read a lot about what can cause problems here and on reddit to be as safe as possible.
As an example, before i placed the lots in my new save i also placed them in a different (testing) new save.
I only placed them in build mode. Never from World fiew and then left build mode, enter the lot again and leave it again to see if the game will crash or not. If not i marked it as safe and placed it in my new save file. I was able to found out that a few lots i had from other people from the gallery where broken (one was a San myshuno appartement from the gallery) what i didnt realised when placing them first time. I also dont know if this could trigger the bug. None of these builds where the one where the spreading exclamination mark bug first appeared. Thats always the second lot in willow creek in my saves. No matter if its a Park or a redidental or the original EA lot not Visited once.
Also a weird thing that happend, in try number 3 i visited this lot that breaks first (willow creek lot 2) in build mode after every household or lot i placed.
Shortly before the bug starts the game started to say there are Objects missing because i dont own the Pack or something (even if i visited it before 10 Times witjout problems) (i also have every Pack) and some Objects where indeed missing. After placing more household and visiting again the building became empthy. (Walls still there but no objects) More placing and the lot will become completly empty and loose its lots type in my game.
Does anyone else have a savefile shortly before the orange exclamination mark appeares and can/ wants to check if its the same order of events in their game ?
I followed so many steps and rules but i have no idea if any of them is the reason the Bug did not occur in my newest save yet. I still have a lot to do. I dont have recreated Clubs, Animals and friendships yet and the game hasnt created a lot of NPC until now so i will write here again if eighter the bug comes back or the save is finished to tell you which rules i followed.
I hope you all have a good weekend and thank you for the help and Informations.

So I know this thread is super old but I'm just now encountering this issue. It popped up for me while playing with Lovestruck and the "Rich Weirdo" prompt came up, so I met up with them at the secret location, but when I went to go home, I noticed that my Sim wasn't there. (I'm playing a 1 Sim household because I was trying to test something out - unrelated) Their icon was greyed out with the little lightening bolt that usually gives options like "care for self, socialize, bring sim here" etc.. but it only had "care for self" and "socialize." I had to force close the game because I couldn't get out of it and then when I tried to load back into the save, it was taking forever to load into it. I tried my other save and it was fine. I should mention that this is part 2 of my test save because of this Lovestruck issue. Not sure if it's related to the newest update because I haven't encountered it before.
