Not sure if this is the case for everyone else but in my game, but when I go check the community lots in Willow Creek and I see the orange triangles that contain the exclamation points, I go back to manage worlds and go into a world that has a build that I no longer need or one that came with the game or expansion pack and delete the lot or enough lots until the warnings above the lots disappear. Do not save the game with the warning signs because once it’s saved, it’s too late to correct the exclamation point problem. I have tested this over and over and it consistently works which tells me that the memory capacity of the game itself, not the PC as I have the latest powerful gaming PC with an I9 processor and 4090 Nvidia graphics card, has been exceeded. It was hard for me at first to believe this because after searching hundreds of posts about Sims 4, exceeding the memory capability of the game is never mentioned for some reason so I am sure most people think that this is not possible. CC or no CC does not matter. I first noticed the exclamation point errors above lots after the For Rent expansion pack. I tested this theory by downloading a house that I knew was large enough to trigger the error and it did. Then, I went back and started deleting unsused builds in different worlds while each time going back and checking the lot that had the error and eventually, the error disappeared. Even adding additional sims or adding clothing to sims will trigger the lot error if the games memory is at capacity which also happened in my game. Clearing caches, repairing the game, removing mods and cc, have no effect with clearing these errors. So far, I have found the only way to clear them is to remove lots or sims which I did not want to delete any of my sims or reduce their outfits so it was easier just to remove unused builds. The corrupt save happens once you save the game with a lot that has an exclamation point. Therefore, until EA can correct this and I think it will be very difficult for them to fix, I go back and often check the lots in Willow Creek or wherever else this error appears before I save the game. Periodically, I go back and check every lot in every world to make sure the error has not affected any other lots. This is very tedious but it is much easier for me to do this than to lose hours of progress because of a corrupt save file. I am not sure why I have never seen any posts regarding this so again, maybe it’s just my game only where this happens. Adding more memory capacity to the game I would think would be an almost impossible task for EA at this point since they have made the game so that it can play on almost any type of PC and adding more memory capacity could trigger the need for players to have more expensive pc ‘s in order to play the game so I don’t know what the fix for this would be.
I have noticed this too. if I add a household or a lot i have to delete either sims or lots or if i decorate or add a household to a lot that has been empty . if i delete households i dont really play or lots i dont really play the exclamation points go away. but im at the point i dont want to delete anymore and tired of everytime i make a change i have to check all the worlds before i can save. I also noticed once my sims visit the highschool it happens again.now the really messed up part this is not exact.I saved after checking everything was fine, and still next time I opened the save there were the exclamation point again same lot in willow creek. dont just save..always save as everytime you make a change or play a household. Sick of this
