I'm also seeing the same problem. Since I play with auto-aging turned off, I rarely age my Sims. However, I finally decided to age up my teen sim to a young adult and noticed that after aging up I received an error notification described by
@RipRizzle. I removed the mods I had and tried to age my teenage sim again to see if there was a conflict with any mods, but the result was the same, she doesn't receive character value traits. My game is updated to the latest version 1.104.58.1030 . Note: As experienced @RipRizzle, the error happens on Sundays. I had a birthday on a Sunday, I tested it the next day, on Monday and everything worked fine. 🤔
The Sims TeamI’ve had this issue with 2 generations of sims now, where there is no opportunity to pick a 3rd trait when aging from teen to YA and you don’t get any of the character values with full meters. Is there a resolution to this?
Well, I finally aged up a teenager with a character value in the correct range to receive a trait and nothing happened! Very frustrating since I actually had been putting a huge amount of effort into trying to influence character values for the two teens in this house. Fully patched game (just updated it before this play session today), no mods have ever touched the save, my sim should've gotten the positive emotional control and responsibility traits. She got neither. Guess there's no point in working on her brother's any more then. And there was I thinking I had a real shot at 4/5 of those traits for him.
Just wanted to add that I too have sadly experienced this issue. My teen had 3 Character Value traits fully in the green when she aged up but not one of them has appeared in her list of traits after she blew out her candles. I used to have mods installed (and did so when I started this save file) but I recently removed them all and now only use CAS and Build/Buy CC so I'm not sure whether my save file will be much use to EA - I also didn't check for the traits before I saved so I don't have a save from just before I aged her up unfortunately. (She also didn't get the option for a 3rd trait but I'll be adding my 'me too' to that thread as well)
