What do you do about it on console though?
@xpinksims there might be a cheat to remove it I'll have a look for you.

Is there no other way to do it? I personally don’t use cheats
- Rachelharris314 years agoSeasoned Ace
@xpinksims no that's the only way.

Well what is the cheat then? Isn’t this a glitch that should be reported to EA?

traits.remove_trait ChildhoodPhase_PickyEater_E remember to use testing cheats true first.

What about the distant one? If I remove them will they be able to gain new phases normally?
- simvasion4 years agoHero@xpinksims the cheat to remove distant phase should be traits.remove_trait ChildhoodPhase_Distant but I heard that using cheats on console will invalidate achievements, so that could be something you need to think about.
According to people who tried that cheat to remove the stuck trait, the sims were able to gain new phases normally. - xpinksims4 years agoRising Adventurer
Yeah that’s probably what I’ll have to do if it can’t be fixed any other way.. I don’t use cheats because I like getting achievements but looks like I don’t have a choice

I’ve removed both phases.. but now my teenager has the same phase again.. Unannounced. It’s supposed to give you a notification that they’re entering the phase, but that doesn’t happen. This bug has entirely broken the phases system. There is no way to send console save files, so I don’t know how EA would ever be aware of this issue, because as others have said, it doesn’t happen on PC

@LokisMinx No problem.

@xpinksims Do you use the gallery if so you could upload the affected sim and I could completely remove the phase with a mod I use and reupload the sim for you see if that helps.

I'm having this issue too. My teen sim got the loud or maybe it's the rebellious phase on the day he aged up to young adult. It's not listed on his traits so I can't remove it and I don't know which one it is. He just randomly gets angry and continues what I have him doing. I had it before and used the UI cheat mod to remove it and never had any issues with it coming back. This is the first time this issue has occurred for me.
I don't like the phases or how long they last so I always use the UI cheat mod to remove them.
