Every morning the plants need water and sometimes fertilizer but they aren’t producing any harvest. I don’t think a picture will help.

is your sim on the home lot when it's 5a.m.?

Since you have Seasons- Are the plants in season?
Are they outdoors or sheltered?

I do have seasons but they are indoors. I don’t know why they didn’t produce for 14 Sim days. Then I started a new save and when I went back they were all producing again 🤷♀️

There is still a bug with gardening that causes plants to stop producing on the 2nd or 3rd day after they start producing. The workaround is to leave the lot at least once every day after you've harvested. Then the plants will produce the next day. All it takes to is to do something that causes the lot to reload. Travel to another lot, go to CAS using a dresser or mirror or option on the sim panel, or go to Sixam using the rocket ship or transporter. That will reset the plants so they will bear again, and you get your harvest again. You can also reset them manually using the debug reset cheat. Tbh, if you have a large garden, traveling out or going to CAS is easier and quicker but manually resetting them is an available option if you just don't want to leave the lot.
Hope this helps.

I've noticed that my plants will just stop producing harvestables after a few days. They are still in season and they just stop producing which in a weird way is kind of interesting as it doesn't make gardening a sure thing. However I don't think this is the intended behavior.

Same for me. I recently rotated onto a lot with several trees and square planter boxes with fruits, flowers and vegetables. For the first few sim days I played, the in-season plants were producing harvestables, but that has now stopped. The weeds still grow and I can fertilize and water when needed, but the plants no longer produce. Some of them are also STILL randomly reverting to dirt piles. This was a source of income for the household I'm trying to play so it definitely impacts game play. :-(
