This issue was fixed in patch 1.99.264.1030 but it introduced a new issue where the railings would disappear if a wall intersected them, and it seems like the team’s way of fixing that issue was to bring back this one. For a brief period between patch 1.99.264.1030 and patch 1.103.250.1020 this issue was solved since the railings would disappear when a wall was present. But after 1.103.250.1020 it has returned.
Hopefully they can fix this without also making it so railings disappear entirely when walls intersect.
@unicornpiggiezI don't think they can. Short of making so we can place each side of the railing independently (like we could in Sims 3) I think the options are either the thicker ones clip through walls or they disappear if they interact a wall which causes issues if the wall is only partially the length of the stairs. I'll take the clipping over the latter since the latter issue looks so much worse and impacted how I built my houses instead of just which railing I picked.
