So been having the same problem, and lowering the normal decay rates didn't help (I mod). But I found this * loot_RelSat_Set_RomanticRelDecay" s="368764" * That has a bunch of decay rates for romance based on the combination of the two sims (i.e. Satisfied and neutral, Very satisfied and satisfied, etc). So if I'm looking at it right, whatever combination the two sims are in has its own decay rate for the romance bar. Makes sense. But the thing is the rates look to be FASTER than the normal rate. Like sometimes ten times faster. If your sims have 50-75 points in the romance bar, the rate of decay used to be .00347. But if they are both satisfied, it looks to now be from .016 to .031. Like one decimal point over. Possible I'm missing something, but it looks like you have to work harder if romantic satisfaction has started. A LOT harder.
I'm tracking this in my game (Xbox Series X with all content installed) since installing Lovestruck. I noticed relationships are harder to maintain, its bad enough that friendships are hard to maintain lately too and I have to resort to using Social Bunny to keep in touch with everyone and boost relationships.
I'm testing on a pre existing engaged couple together since last year. They don't live together. After a successful date where they get the attached notification message their relationship will be maxed but within 2 days it's dropped halfway. They would have to meet every single day to keep it high or maxed. Flirty phonecalls don't help and when it drops and she arrives on the doorstep as a key holder they need to only do romantic interactions for hours to improve it again, cut the small talk and get their flirt on. It's a bit tiresome tbh I'd like them to have a more rounded relationship like that as they have so much in common.
My other test subjects are newly created marrieds but they just adopted a toddler and within a couple of days of being really busy (he's an adorable handful) a notification popped up that Ben was really unsatisfied in the relationship. They'd had no time for romantic interactions since Oliver arrived and the spark was going out.
I think this needs some tuning. I don't want my couples to be unhappily married as a child is keeping them busy. Nor do I want them to do nothing but romantic interactions.
