[ARCHIVED] Routing failure/T-Pose when trying to read from certain bookcases

The Book Nook, Lovestruck and Life & Death bookends all have this problem. I did a little competition with all the bookends in the game and they won. They work fine if placed on the floor and some surfaces, but route fail on others.

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.110.311.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except Journey to Batuu
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Place the Best of Nonfiction bookshelf from the Cozy Kitsch Creator Kit on a desk, and then try to read a book.
What happens when the bug occurs? A Sim will not grab a book, but rather will T pose and drop the action from their queue.
What do you expect to see? Sims grabbing books from bookshelves placed on desks.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I removed my mods and deleted the localthumbcache file before retesting.

I tested the Best of Nonfiction bookshelf on a different surface (an end table), and my sims were able to grab books from that surface. I also tried to place the books on a different desk, but my sims would not grab a book from the different desk. I also tried moving the desk to a more open area for my sims to reach, and they still T posed and dropped the Read Something action from their queue. My sims were able to grab a book from other tabletop bookshelves (the basegame ones, etc.)

The above screenshots are of my sim T posing after being asked to grab a book from the bookshelf on the desk. The first screenshot is from the desk in the original position, and the second is from the desk cleared off and in a more open area. My sim will not read a book if the books are on the desk (any desk; I tried multiple) but would if I moved the books to an end table or other surface.
