I had the same problem and when i took out the mod skarrd trait it started working

ok so, i checked all of these mods and  don't have any of them so there's something else in my game that's making my sims travel when i only choose one sim to travel. ill try to do the 50/50 method and see what happens, wish me luck.

    @SaraiCutiepie365 ok so after almost two hours i finally found the mod/mods. it was from Thatssojordy. I'm not sure which mod because i deleted all mods and downloaded the updated ones so i hope this helps anyone else that had the same problem but didn't have the mods that was claimed to cause this error.
