    Your Sim should no longer get the Unable to Propose dialog when attempting to propose to Sims who are not employed by the proposing Sim.
    • Now if they don’t want to marry you, they’ll just tell ya.
      • “Oooh, I would totally marry you, but my job… yea. It’s crunch time, we got a deadline. Oh, and my boss, real hard a-yea don’t get me started. And, I gotta work Saturdays too. Maybe next time.”

    I'm marking this for Feedback for the moment as we had multiple issues in this thread.

    It remains to be seen if all are fixed.

I'm also having the same issue - with all my sims in relationship couples - none of who are in the 'employ' of the other. I've tried re-starting and re-booting but continually happens. 

I use no mods either and have recently updated. I'm assuming the same - definite bug ☹️

    If so, please zip up this folder: documents\electronicarts\thesims4\saves and drop the file to this Mediafire-Link to upload.

    Please make sure to name the zip file with your user name.

    I figured out what's wrong and how to get around it. Like others had said, one of them had more than one boyfriend/girlfriend and the option of getting married got grayed out for the one who had multiple gf/bf. To get around it, invite that extra gf/bf to the lot where you want to get married and it worked for me.

    I have the same problem. I managed to get my sims to live together and he could propose but not her. Now he can ask them to marry not her and when you click the get married option the action keeps clearing. I have no mods or cc either. Very annoying as I'm in the middle of their wedding!

      Are you saying that he can Propose but the option to Elope immediately or Plan Wedding doesn't appear?

        Sort of. He can propose to her (and has) but she couldn't propose to him - kept having the work relationship box appearing. The option to elope or plan a wedding is available for him (again not for her) but when you select the option the action keeps clearing. It's odd. I have now given up and used the cas.fulleditmode cheat to fix their relationship status.

    Has it fixed in any ways at all. I have no mods and recently updated today and I can't marry my two sims who haven't been employed by another what so ever.
    I hope this gets fixed!!!

      No fix for it yet. Follow the workaround posted in this thread. There are two different issues so select the one that fits your issue. (Propose not there or Propose greyed out)
