[ARCHIVED] Sims stops writing books

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)

What is your current game version number? 1.82

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All content installed except for Vampires and Bust the Dust 

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a Sim writing a book on the PC 

What happens when the bug occurs? The Sim only writes for a few seconds then stops.

What do you expect to see? They should finish writing the book.

Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console never used

Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Unsure

I had 2 Sims both trying to complete the archaeology aspiration, both at different PCs in the same room and both writing an Archaeology skill book. They both stopped writing over a dozen times. It was virtually impossible to get them to finish but they didn't do anything when they stopped, they just sat there. But the action in the queue was crossing itself out (image attached). I started watching the queued action and as the line fills up around the circle and gets to three quarters of the way around it suddenly crosses itself out and the Sim sits at the PC doing nothing.

I checked for mood changes incase they were the cause but their moods didn't change.
