I have the same problem with stereos playing Alternative music. I have a household with 7 members in it. Each and every member dislikes Alternative music, but they keep changing the channel to Alternative. At first I thought it was the butler, so I fired the butler, but it kept on happening.
I personally do not like the music and don't want to hear it, but I do want my Sims to listen to music....just not Alternative.
@Thistle_Uknowhoo - The obsession with the stereo and autonomously turning it on is a problem in and of itself. I was recently playing in a Tiny Home. They had an infant and I was trying to raise money for them to move to a bigger house. They kept turning on the wall speaker stereo while the baby was sleeping and waking it up. I got so fed up with it I sold the stereo. I find earbuds a more viable alternative, so I rarely add stereos to houses anymore anyway.
