Sims who Dislike Mischief Autonomously do Mischief

This issue is still happen in version 1.115.216.
In Archive thread most comments mentioned that Sims who dislike mischief do troll the forums.
I report with using the example about when conversation to other Sims.
Play the Sim with:
⦁    Full Autonomy on
⦁    Dislike mischief
When their friendship moves beyond Good Friends and approaches Best Friends, they start to become more likely to use pranks in their conversations.
They continue to have mischievous conversations even after their relationship moves to Best Friends.

It's been over three years since the archive report was created, but nothing has changed.

  • Yes, this drives me absolutely crazy. They'll also autonomously Troll teh Forums on the computer.

  • Yep, this has been a problem forever. I can make it so my sim dislikes mischief, potty humor, malicious interactions, pranks, deception, silly behavior and jokes.. and they'll still autonomously try to use those interactions and then get disgusted, angry or embarrassed by their own actions.

I mean, that does sort of happen to us all from time to time... Say or do the wrong thing and then feel stupid for doing so..  You could conclude that this is normal sim behavior emulating real life. But gameplay wise, mischief happens way, way too frequently, so most of us are choosing to use the "dislike that behavior" traits simply because we dont' want our sims performing them autonomously.

Mischief is great if you want your sim to prank and can control that action. Mischief isn't fun if that's all your sim autonomously wants to do.

This bug has been irritating me for the longest time, my sim doesn't even have to like or dislike mischief to do it, they will autonomously do stuff like lie about career and scare, and my alien sims will autonomously wipe other sims memories, it's the sole reason why I haven't touched aliens since getting get to work.

I noticed that there are more mischief interactions since the last update. My sims will also choose to yell or insult a partner sim who has full friendship and romance bars. I will keep an eye out for sims who dislike an activity and see if they do the activity autonomously.

  • I have a sim who is Proper, dislikes Mischief, and she still Asks Due Date about three minutes into any conversation. I have to click it out of her queue about 30 seconds into any conversation if autonomy is on. She is a home designer and I cannot leave autonomy on or she will immediately be ejected from the lot for being "inappropriate" while speaking to clients and gets all kinds of debuffs from her own actions. As vyvexthorne said, everyone puts their foot in it occasionally, but it is really annoying to try and make a sim who is purportedly none of these things and still uses Ask Due Date and Lie About Career autonomously as their default social action.
