That makes perfect sense, ty for the explanation! I assumed it was sth like that, based on your earlier explanations of how things work wrt clothing tags. And thank you for explaining it so thoroughly, I really appreciate it.

^^ You're welcome! I'm also happy to report that - no, our bodies are still broken - but EP17 CAS isn't a complete mess of incorrect PartFlags. They got MOST right, at least where Restrict Opposite Gender and Restrict Opposite Frame are concerned. They broke other things though.

I agree that the way clothes works in TS4 is not ideal. I would've loved a system more akin to what we've seen in other games (I haven't played anything recent recently) like Skyrim.

To my understanding most clothing items actually do have separate meshes for Female and Male, which is why converting clothing items between Female and Male is a bloody chore that even I don't want to touch. However, they don't account for switching Physical Frames. The Deformer Maps - the working Deformer Maps - need some TLC to iron out the kinks, like the crotch and neck distortion, but they work to some degree.

The ideal solution would been unrestrictive Body Sliders.

My sim is Male / Feminine Frame. 0 mods. 100% Base Game. Countless hours spent in CAS sculpting their body partially because I just didn't want the stereotypical male body preset. I can download a set of Custom Sliders that can achieve my sim's body on Male / Masculine Frame sim. EAxis could unrestrict our bodies the same way, though I haven't thought about what that would mean for CAS items and wearing clothing made for the opposite Gender (Sex).

    This issue first appeared with Update 7/23/2024. I provided a fix for it on 7/30/2024 and since then I have explained in detail what the problem is and how to fix it.

    The mod-fix I provided is available on CurseForge and Sims File Share. Both are linked in the SOLUTION comment, which is highlighted on the first page of this thread.

    In an unrelated note, what did y'all do to CAS in this last Update?!

    UPDATE 11/7/2024 MAKES NINE (9)!

    NINE (9) OFFICIAL UPDATES SINCE MY MOD-FIX ON 7/30/2024 - THAT'S JULY 30 AND IT'S NOVEMBER 8 TODAY - AND STILL NO OFFICIAL FIX!

    It's 5 AM and the last few days have been quite frustrating and I still have no internet, so I'm just gonna copypaste again.

    WE'VE NOW CROSSED INTO FIVE (5) MONTHS.

    IT'S DECEMBER 4, 2024 TODAY. THAT'S ALMOST HALF THE YEAR!

    @Sejian Thank you! I'm shocked. Why do we have to make and use mods to fix the game? Off the Grid is still broken. Good people made a mod, we don't have to fix this problem, right, EA?

    I have no idea why this hasn't been fixed or patched into the game yet. I expected this would've been fixed when they fixed the broken eyelashes months ago, but update come and update go and nothing. Not even a mention of it.

    It's very telling of their priorities. Pumping up login stats via FOMO-fest battle pass events with no opt out = #1 Do this Now, an easy fix that would follow through on their supposed commitment to letting players depict diverse people = meh, who cares?

    Patch day and still no fix !

    Who is surprised ?

    Still fake inclusivity to look nice but EA really don't care about us.

    And yes, that's insulting especially when a person (Seijan, thank you) created really quick a mod that solves the issue and give the simple solution to repair the issue.
