Spine distortion on male Sims with female frame

I like playing feminine male sims, they are what I play the majority of the time. But I noticed a issue when I was creating a new male sim with the feminine body type. They have this weird triangle shape on the back of their bottoms; distorting their body and clothes. And I'm pretty sure their bodies were just fine before Lovestruck.

It would only fix itself with very few clothing items and it happens with both masculine and feminine items.

I tested it with and without mods/cc. Is there anything that can be done to fic this? I attached screenshots to show what I mean.

  • I'm also having the same issue. I wasted so much time sorting through my cc 🤧

  • The back is broken

Female sim with Masculine Frame too

  • Default bottom underwear is Feminine even if Masculine clothing is selected. Both are broken too.

I do not understand why we ever had two forums for Bug Reports.

"Duplicate" posts apparently don't get merged here, and this Bug Report lacks the MANY replies the AHQ Bug Report got. Also, why is the formatting here so horrendous, and why is the title of this Bug Report still misleading? IT'S NOT JUST MALE SIMS WITH FEMININE FRAMES! IT AFFECTS EVERYONE!

[BG] Update 7/23/2024 broke our bodies! | EA Forums - 11849399

The OP for this is now in an "Archived" sub-forum. It can be found here - [OPEN] Spine distortion on male Sims with female frame | EA Forums - 11727014

Update 7/23/2024 broke EIGHTEEN (18) Deformer Maps that control the shape of our bodies, resulting in our spines deforming horribly.

I fixed it SEVEN (7) days later and shared the fix in the OP on Answers HQ.

I have shared this fix in multiple places over the past SEVEN (7) MONTHS that this issue has remained unresolved, including Bluesky, CurseForge, Mod The Sims, Nexus Mods, Patreon, Sim4Studio, Steam, and Tumblr.

You can grab it directly from my Sim File Share or my Google Drive if you need it:

After fixing it, I explained - in that selfsame Answers HQ OP - what was broken and what I did to fix it, including listing the IDENTIFIERS for each of the EIGHTEEN (18) broken Deformer Maps, which I will do again, but in alphanumerical order this time:

    1. 101650B262FE738B
    2. 1AF522D560596299
    3. 27FE2BD7D11FDE65
    4. 45CC622AC4706E43
    5. 5472A8F447E6776B
    6. 622376C44D6A33D1
    7. 6F306F593F92A62A
    8. 73290F92433C9DCC
    9. 7A9D44AB67D00802
    10. 847834034BBDA32C
    11. 8ABEBBC4544AAE5B
    12. 98FC19AECA266806
    13. A11BC331702BCD88
    14. A1A3F64ED26BCED8
    15. BD2A4BDE5C973977
    16. C80F9ABC687746FF
    17. D4DCBF3A9F19D170
    18. FDFEC8AB37A7CCC8

Fixing it required overriding these EIGHTEEN (18) broken Deformer Maps with the corresponding EIGHTEEN (18) working Deformer Maps from Update 6/6/2024, which I was able to get from my simmer friends who, at the time, held off on updating because of the numerous bugs that were introduced with Update 7/23/2024.

In that OP, I said I'd do a thing - I said I'd upload the raw Deformer Map resources from Update 6/6/2024, in case EAxis had misplaced theirs. I finally did it. In the following Google Drive folder, you will find:

    https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/194hO3heyyMuz92jlyM6xU8cAhfYHFgOD?usp=drive_link

    • The EIGHT (8) screenshots I embedded and attached to this Bug Report.
    • ONE (1) additional screenshot of the "reminder" I posted recently in the official "The Sims" Discord, which was linked in the most recent Update Notes. Thank you!
    • ONE (1) PACKAGE file in a "PACKAGE" sub-folder. This is the same BUGFIX, just not in an ARCHIVE.
    • EIGHTEEN (18) Deformer Map resources in a "RESOURCES" sub-folder. These EIGHTEEN (18) Deformer Maps were exported using Sims4Studio.

By my count, since Update 7/23/2024, we have had:

    • TWELVE (12) Updates
    • FOUR (4) Kits
    • FIVE (5) Creator Kits + TWO (2) more coming soon!
    • TWO (2) FOMO Live Events
    • TWO (2) Expansion Packs

And we crossed SIX (6) MONTHS and have entered SEVEN (7) MONTHS of this being unresolved, and it's also a new year!

Happy 25-Year Anniversary! Happy New Year!

I look forward to the day this issue is officially resolved for all simmers on all platforms.

I'm off to continue trying to BAND-AID a different, and arguably more serious and more evasive "bug" that was introduced in Update 10/22/2024 that also has not been fixed yet. Cheers!

Title is actually the same as it was at AHQ.

The info in the old thread is not lost. It's all still there in the bug archive and the thread has been linked in the first post.

  • I noticed this issue on regular female sims back too. It's not just male sims with female frame.

I know, but that one was incorrect too. As highlighted in my screenshots, it's not just Male sims with Feminine Frames. The broken Deformer Maps are actually affecting all sims with all Gender and Physical Frame combinations, but under different circumstances.

If you're wearing clothing that matches your Physical Frame, you will never see it, which is the only reason there isn't a flood of Bug Reports about this. Cisframe simmers will only encounter this if they happen to wear or randomize with one of the improperly flagged CAS items that was made for one Frame but flagged for the other. Transframe simmers will encounter it more often, and always when "nude" or in "default underwear" because our "default" top and bottom body parts are flagged for Restrict Opposite Gender, and a high percentage of CAS items are improperly flagged as Restrict Opposite Gender, which means we see it more often because those improperly flagged "ROGender" CAS items don't match our Physical Frames.

I've been cleaning up and overhauling EAxis' CAS item PartFlags for literal years - ever since EAxis accidentally ROGender'ed the pride fingernails, then took months to fix it - I'm not just pulling this out of thin air.
