The same happened to me but I am able to keep the occult eyes on both vampire forms. My problem is with spellcasters not keeping the eyes.

my vampires red eyes are now normal and I can not change them back, I have used the CAS edit but when I go back to live mode they just turn back to a random colour but not red, even my sims with gold eyes also are the same, this update has broken so much more things on top of the other items that are already broken, I am feeling tired of coming here everyday to report another broken item. I can not use mods to fix any of my issues as I am a console player (xbox next gen)
