I solved the bug with the occult eyes changing to default eye colors in play mode. It is a conflict with growing together. I even tested the game without it and the eyes work perfectly fine without it but become unusable when the expansion is added.
nope , I dont have growing together yet still does it. Also it can be very random when the bug kicks in , for some its when they get a job, go to CAS, switch households , grow up . One household I played for 36 hours and never got the bug until I logged in and randomly got it and in another playthrough it was 10 mins. I reckon its the update they did that allows you to change your sims occult type in cas which causes the issue, looks like occult characters are losing the tag which enables them access to their occult CAS items. Ive duplicated all the occult stuff I want and enabled it to be used by the original occult type and humans and this has solved my issue.
