I've been checking different careers over several games...

Careers effected (so far):

Writer - Journalist Level 9

Style Influencer - Level 9

Painter - Artist Level 6

Musician - Level 10

Chef - Head Caterer - Level 10

These careers just aren't even giving me the choice to be able to take vacation time, even though they all have several days each to be taken.  It's not just greyed out... just not there.

I've only got one Go To Work job being played presently, but doesn't seem to have been effected.  I'm able to select Take Vacation on that one.

Other careers, or other branches, seem not to be effected...Weird!

I am having the same issue - no option to take a vacation day for any of the careers you mentioned, though it seems to be for all careers. The new Romance Consultant Career is also impacted.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? go to the phone menu and try and take a vacation day at home.
What happens when the bug occurs? I cannot take a vacation day from the phone menu. I can only either go on vacation or call in sick.
What do you expect to see? ability to take a vacation day.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I believe it started appearing around life and death being launched

It may have started happening earlier than life and death like when that patch came out a couple days ago but I was doing stuff that didn't involve a job so i didn't see it. For the record I have tried disabling mods and restarting the game. I use , mc command center and better build buy.  I tried it with my mods disabled and with them loaded as they are currently updated for the latest patch. I did see previous threads suggested deleted the localthumbcache.package file but that did not work either.

Having same issue in the new Life & Death career. No option available for vacation day from job. 

I seem to be having the same issue. Like others in the thread, not every career has been affected - so far, I'm only seeing it with the Undertaker career (Life & Death). Option is there for the Reaper career however, all in the same save, same household even. Both living & ghost undertaker cannot take vacation day, both pre-branch selection, and both should have 4 vacation days available.
