Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Had a butler hired for long time in one household. Started a new household, and hired one for this house as well. When I switched back to play the old house, the butler I hired for the new family came in, and my old one wasn't assigned to the bed anymore. Now this same butler - the new one I hired for the new household - appears at every lot I have one hired for, even though he's assigned at a house already.
What happens when the bug occurs? Anytime I switch households, the same butler appears, even if I already had another one assigned to the house before, and even if he's already assigned to a house himself.
What do you expect to see? A different butler for every house, also to not come home to a new butler when I hadn't fired the old one.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
I've tried firing him and hiring a new one, but he's always the one that comes. I've also tried firing him, saving and exiting the game, come back and hiring a new one - still the same butler. This started two days ago. Sorry if someone else has already posted this issue, I couldn't find one for this when I searched.
I looked through the threads and saw where some people had had the same issue. Tried some of the suggestions, but none of them worked. It didn't seem like people had a lot of success fixing this bug on their own, unfortunately. Thank you for the help!
2020 and still have this bug. It's honestly the only bug that's really bothering me. As a temp fix I've altered each butler that shows up into the same appearance.. guess I have triplets who take turns as my butler.
Howdy! The new butler spawn has been a persistent issue in my game since I bought Vintage Glamour. It's the main reason why I don't play with them in active households. Recently I decided to play with a butler for the first time in a little over and year and the bug is still happening. My household went to a birthday party at another lot and when they returned, a new butler was there. As always, I have to fire butlers or travel until the original butler appears. And when they reappear I'm extremely reluctant to travel which is just not fun. ☹️
My original butler's name is Bennett ... The new butler is some other lady I don't care to know!!

I do play with mods and they are up to date but I've had this issue sans mods, with only mc command center, and with all the mods I have now.
It's really frustrating not being able to utilize a key feature of a pack! SOS
I've still been getting this bug. It is very annoying. At almost random, all of sudden I have a new butler that I don't want. I have to fire that butler and then hire the service again to get my butler that I want back.
This happens a ton. The most noticeable times this happens is when my couple have a date at home. When the date is done, I notice my butler switched.
Then other times, it just switches on me.
Its always the same sim too. I don't know if deleting or killing that sim that I don't want will work or the game will just make another sim that I don't want and having me fire and rehire to get the one I want to keep.
