I'm on Console and still have this issue. Has this been fixed and I missed the update?
Same! I am on console as well and have the same issue. The sim(s) leave the lot, goes to an event, returns, and the butler has been replaced with another. The new butler is fired and another butler gets hired and its the original. This does not happen with Nanny's or at least I have not noticed on my game. It's just easier to have a butler in the home.
I really hope now that they are finally adressing older bugs this will be back on their radar and laundry list again, after all this is probably the main feature of the pack and has never worked correctly, rendering the whole pack pointless for many users.
I'd also really like if Butlers stayed in non-active households, I finally want to make a Butler for Straud and be formaly greeted by him when I visit the Straud home with my active Sim, that was what I hoped for when when buying the pack 5 years ago or so.
it i think hapens to go with there age if they are turned into a vampire they will leave next start of work when there a vampire probably if go to a different location or load after there a vampire if it didnt start the next start of work they will probably leave to if saved before the start of work had a elder indvidual butler never was kod by age they couldnt be kod by age it seemed i invited them to the actualy household and it was i think saying they were living forever and being not a vampire i reloaed it that was a long time ago but there could be other bugs but all of it could be some how to the code they have relating to age who knows could be other stuff to liek class u cant be a mage and a vampire i think and probably some how it wont allow butlers to be a vampires which is strange since other characters could have other jobs and be vampires who knows but i havent played ina while havent played for a year to almost 2 years but its probaly stil doing it snce some stil seem to be having a probelm ha hi all ihope everyone in the world doing ok and everythign having a good week and has a good weekend and everything God bless
i hope they fix it there alot of things they should fix havent played in a while primarly to having to turn of wants and fears all the time i didnt want that feature that they added but if you turn it off you lose the ability to get points just from completing stuff like read a book or whatever and had to turn it on do the quest or whatever then turn it off ha and from ambitions being bugged if you level up a ability very high and just pick a ambition you might not be able to finish it from being to high level like if it says write a good book but your level is high and u making master peice books you cant complete it ha beacuse the higher one wont complete the lower one though it already surpased good quality ha and you cant make lower quality stuff not that anyone should want ot make less u know quality stuff ha some of there packs better in 3 then 4 though some in 4 are better but liek cats and dogs you could select the cat or dog since they were part of faimly and go some were in 4 you cant selct the cat or dog some packs they have i guess works like they want it to but its strange like mermaids how you can play all game and well u know also how the game it did it making it seem like they werent u know though there maybe bugs with the mural but u know wish could be mage and vampire which is saddening dont think u can some packs or the stuff of certain things seemd to work better like how certain ages act the celebrety thing was better in some ways but worse in some like didnt seem you constanyly got rumors when loaded but you could lose stars when thats not how it really u know hopefuly they fix alot of stuff and the butler thing to hi all i hope everyone in the world doing ok had a good week and has a good weekend and everything God bless
