I have 2 Sims with high enough music skill to begin writing songs. The 1st time (June 29), my Sims wrote a song at his guitar for 3 hours.
I play with multiple Sim families, so when I returned on July 15th to continue writing the song, I was disappointed to see that I had to start
all over again. I had checked Answers HQ and discovered an issue.
The 2nd time (July 15), my Sims began writing a song at his guitar, went to work and returned to finish his song. But I had to do the whole song process without
switching families and had to keep his family members home the whole time.
The 3rd time (August 2), my 2nd Sims began writing a song at his guitar for almost 7 hours and then went to work. While he was at work, the rest of his
family traveled to Willow Creek and Windenburg. When my 2nd Sims returned home from work to finish his guitar song, the song was back to the
beginning. All progress was lost.
I understand that writing a song takes a long time, but it's frustrating that the rest of your family is held hostage during that process.
The 4th time (August 20th) with a 3rd Sim writing a song on the guitar. She wrote 1/4 of the way with the song. It was time to log off the game for the night. The next day (August 21st) when I logged into the game so she could finish her song. I learned the hard way that the song was back to the beginning. So unfortunately you have to plan that once you start writing a song, it has to begin and be completed all at one sitting.
