[ARCHIVED] Write Song / Book / Lyrics Loses Progress

I have Sim 4 character and I have chosen the writing profession path.  The character can start a book any genre without any problem.  If the character stops writing for any reason, sleep, eat, go to the gym, or save and exit the game. They do have to be away from the computer for several minutes. When the character comes back to the computer and resumes the book it starts with zero progress.  Functionally this makes it impossible to complete a book. the writing skill does improve.  I have removed my mods folder completely started a new game and the results are the same.
