saving and exiting the game resets my songs now too. yes, i know its in the inventory. i let my sim write for about 1 irl hour last night, got about half done. saved and exit game. load back in and song and guitar were both in inventory, set guitar on ground (as it doesnt recognize the guitar in the inventory when using the resume option on the "book") the song has been completely reset to the beginning again. no mods. just a bad mechanic that still hasnt been looked into.
