What happens when the bug occurs? When continue writing a book the task goes back to the beginning instead of picking up where she left off. It started after the crystal update
What do you expect to see? I expect my Sim to continue where she left off
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.

Please describe the patch or change you made. Downloaded the crystal pack and update
My Sims have to start over when continuing writing a book instead of picking up where they left off.
To those who are experiencing the book-writing bug for the first time, if you're on Mac/PC, you can get a mod from LittleMsSam called Resume Writing Workaround Fix (in her Bug Fixes collection). It's a workaround since you can only work on one book at a time, but it's better than nothing.
I don't know whether it works for writing songs or lyrics, but I think it's worth a try!
The current iteration of this bug (there have been previous ones) has been around since 2022, and they haven't even asked for us to submit save files. Doesn't make me confident that they'll ever fix it. Thank goodness for mods!
The problem occurs when I only have one book. For example: sim starts writing a book, when she’s 3/4’s of the way through Father Winter appears and she stops writing to interact with him. When she goes back to writing the same book it’s not 3/4’s done anymore it’s back to the beginning.
