What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Growing Together, Cottage Living, University, Island Living, Get Famous, Seasons, City Living, Get Together, Get to Work, Strangerville, Parenthood, Spa Day, Outdoor Retreat, Moschino, Backyard, Perfect Patio, Romantic Garden, Spooky, Movie Hangout, and several kits.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have sims write a song or watch a movie or write a book, etc. Gain some progress in this action and then travel to a new lot with anyone in the household.
What happens when the bug occurs? Upon return, all previous progress will be lost - i.e. book writing - and sims will have to start over as if they're just sitting down for the first time to watch a movie or read a book or write a song.
What do you expect to see? I expect progress to be saved and for sims to be able to pick up where they left off no matter if it's at home or if they're visiting a community lot or a friend's house. They should be able to pull out their laptop and pick up where they left off with writing their novel or pull out their book and pick up on the page where they left off.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
Things and actions that reset when someone travels:
I'm sure there are others, but that's what I've personally experienced.
Also, why do sims complete paintings in a few hours yet it takes nearly a full sim day to write a book and even longer to finish a song? If sims can max out friendship and romance with someone they met that afternoon and complete a masterpiece in a few hours, you'd think writing a book or a song would take around the same amount of time.
Found this thread bc my sim has been working on one song for three days. He keeps getting creative fog so he has to stop and then when I go to resume it starts back all over again. This is so frustrating to try a portion of the game I’ve barely played with now I’m starting to see why.
