Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I don't know. Perhaps having a Sim write a book, stop for awhile and then have that sim proceed to finish writing the book
What happens when the bug occurs? A Sim who is a writer sits at the computer to write, if that Sim needs to stop writing to maybe eat and they go back to the computer to continue to write the book they have to start off at the very beginning. There was no progress saved.
What do you expect to see? It fixed
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.

My Sim, who is a writer, goes to write a book on the computer. That Sim may need to stop writing to do something else. Before when this happened the progress on the book was still there. Now when my Sim goes back to finish the book the progress isn't there and they have to start typing that book right from the beginning.
