Is The Sims downloaded onto an external or the internal drive?

Please try a full power cycle on your console:

  • Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
  • Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.
    Important Be sure to wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.
  • Plug the console power cable back in.
  • Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

Same issue here.  Game seems to be freezing at the loading screens.  Mine's been stuck at least 20 minutes.  I'm on the Xbox Series X.  No external drive.  Guess I'm not playing tonight.

    @gea250 Hey, I'm glad that I am not the only one who is experiencing this. I have Xbox Series S. I'm sure that others may see this too. Usually it works well. Just something every now and then before a new pack. That is normal for the Sims 4. Hang in there.

      @angelboi7531 I think it is an entire console issue ☹️ I was only able to play for rent the first day of release basically.

        @msevedez I agree with you. So Playstation as well. Okay, so Xbox Series X and S, and probably PS4 and PS5. No one from PC yet. I preordered For Rent as well. I own like all packs, just not all kits (bought them during sales, of course. lol). I hope that this is resolved soon. We won't be able to enjoy For Rent if this continues. I think all loading screens are affected. I have noticed it most with traveling outside the lot or manage world. I have waited about 30 minutes and turned it off. Uninstalled and installed again. They do fix these issues. I just hope soon. Patience is a virtue. 🙂

      @angelboi7531 It’s happening for ps5 users as well. It works beautifully with mouse and keyboard when the game is running right but I have had this issue since the day after release and there is no other way for us as console players to report issues or receive technical support. It’s definitely the game. I know they put out another small patch after the drop of for rent but since that small patch I have had issues accessing my playable household saved games since then. I’m just stuck on a continuous loop of load screen.

        @msevedez I'm having this exact same issue. I can't load my favorite Sims house anymore, it just gets stuck loading and loading. Gotta restart game. Game also crashes during travel/exciting CAS/exciting Build Mode. Started having these issues right after the release of For Rent and the newest update, and I don't even own it.
