After having this issue today I discovered that I had an unusually large amount of random new households in Other Households, possibly since the last small patch. I checked as I suddenly had a terrible lag and my game was taking forever to save and load after travelling. Everything was going so slowly and it's never really done that for me on Xbox Series X. I usually clear households out of Other Households about once a week and keep it under 100. But today I had 150 despite only clearing them out a week or so ago. I've taken it down to 66 and I'm going to track it to see if it takes off again. As soon as I cleared the households out, my game went back to normal speed and load and save times were running as they should.
So if this is happening to anyone else clearing out extra households in Other Households might help, along with other established methods of clearing out library items and inventories of previous households and Sims. But I'm curious to know if anyone else finds that Other Households is looking unusually packed with new Sims because it might possibly explain a few problems. It's just a theory anyway, I hope it's helpful to someone.
It is not just console. I'm on a year old gaming laptop with awesome specs and my game has the constant loading issue as well. It just started happening yesterday - twice. It happened twice today too. This just started all of a sudden. No changes and I'm fully updated. I had to use task manager to quit.
@angelboi7531 I'm looking at specifically why the bug is triggered so we can help to pinpoint the problem. If the game is filling Other Households again it would slow it down.
How unfortunate and it's happening at the worst times too. I wonder if it's happening because I bought Snowy Escape and Dream Home Decorator yesterday? Thought I'd mention it as there were a few bugs with both of them awhile back too.
