To add, I don't think this is PlayStations problem, I believe the problem lies in the Sims 4. Considering I've had no issues with this console and any other game.

        I am having the same issue, it crashes immediately when trying to enter the paint section with Cats and Dogs in edit sim paint on Xbox one & Xbox X series. I have uninstall and reinstated and was able to only once edit my cats and  dogs for about 5 minutes then it crashed, now it crashes immediately when selecting the paint 🎨 section. I hope a resolution will be forthcoming.

        I don't understand how to find what is being asked for in order to help resolve this issue.

    @can-chaser97 Same thing is happening to me on my brand new ps5. As soon as you open paint mode the game completely crashes and comes up with the same error. I agree that this is a sims 4 issue not the console. I previously had a ps4 with this same issue on paint mode
