I've found that you can get rid of the "green smoke" for a while by shift-clicking on the pressure cooker and choosing "reset object", but it eventually returns (as the OP has indicated). I thought the problem might be related to the "self-cleaning" upgrade, but I replaced the upgraded object with a fresh one, without upgrades, and the "green smoke" still appears after a certain amount of time. There is no option in the standard menu for the pressure cooker to clean it.
I recently purchased For Rent and noticed this bug straight away. The cooker is always acting as if it's dirty emitting green smoke. There's no option to clean it. I tried the upgrade to self clean but nothing happens, it still has the green smoke.
