[FR] Pressure cooker causes sims to act as if they're smelling something awful

When placed straight from the catalogue there is a green smell cloud coming from the cooker, even when empty.

  • I had this happen, I would move it in game to another counter and then it stopped but would show up again haha. Best I advice I can give is move it and then it stops for a while!

Same thing happens with the pressure cooker. And sometimes my sims have the trash/dirty surroundings on when everything is clean. I erased everything from the kitchen and they still have it.

  • I just started having this issue with the most recent update (end of February 2025). The pressure cooker emits spoiled food green gas but there’s no food present. Placing a new cooker resolves the issue only for it to repeat a few Sim hours later.

  • The rice cooker I upgraded it … a green glow is in front of it all the time like it smells to my Sim can you guys fix this?

I'm playing on PC, all packs and DLC and I've always had this issue.  It's not as extreme as it used to be as the Sims don't react as badly as it was when the pack first released but the issue persists. Shift clicking reset object temporarily gets rid of the glitch but it always returns

I still have this issue. When I pick up the cooker though and place it back down it cleans itself and the smell goes away but only for a while.

  • I am still experiencing the green smoke on the pressure cooker even with a brand new one never used. I have found if I move it from one counter to another the smoke goes away but comes right back after a couple sim hours
