[ARCHVIED] No option to pay bills/Bills only once (Patch 1.108.349)

I have this exact issue! Tried everything. New save, new mailbox, removed all mods and cc. 1st time experiencing this issue and only after updating my game. 

Same!  This renders the game unplayable for me so there's no point in buying the new expansion this week.  Sims life on hold.  Sigh.

I have this bug too. I wouldn't have even noticed, because I usually don't pay too much attention to what day it is, but I randomly saw a mailman pass by my house and when I looked at the day of the week and the time, I realized that I should be getting bills. My guess is that it was that mailman who was supposed to get it delivered. He didn't. He just passed by my house as if it didn't exist. I also realized that I have only paid the bills once and I have definitely played in that save for more than three weeks at that point.

I also remembered that at one point I had two mailwomen arrive at the same time when I got one of the reaper rewards letters. One of them delivered the letter and the other one got stuck on my lot for quite a while. So I wondered if it had anything to do with the current challenge.

Technically, it doesn't break my game. My water and electricity don't get shut down, I get no warnings. The game essentially acts as if there was no such feature (with the exception of the mailmen passing by my house). But it does feel like cheating that I have absolutely no bills because of this bug.

I have the same problem, I'm receiving the bills on the normal timeframe but I have no way to pay them, the option doesn't show up on the mailbox, phone, computer... I even tried to cheat the bills but even the cheat code doesn't work!

I can't play with any new family for more than a week because I just watch their electricity and water get shut off. Also persists no matter what save I'm on.

This glitch only appeared after I updated my game, which also broke my build mode UI :/

Also running into this:

• no mods,
• new Life and Death pack installed,
• version 1.110.294.1220 (found via first entry in cheat -> `version`).

Tried workarounds with no success:

• Replacing mailbox,
• moving sim in and out
• restarted game
• manage worlds -> changing family context/view, then going back
• tried removing cache folder (typically suggested for those with mods, just in case)

Did anyone ever find a way around this or does it remain unfixed? This has suddenly happened to me last night. I've tried everything, now my sims are just...living in vacation rentals? 😔

This has now happened to me as well, I do play with mods. It has only affected one household at this time. I deleted the mailbox, evicted the household, moved household, repaired the game and no luck. At this point my sims are forced to live off the grid in Brindleton Bay. My sims were living in an apartment when the bug originally occurred then I moved them thinking that would fix the issue but it hasn't. 

Workaround I used was to replace the mailbox, that worked for me. Hopefully this helps you all out as well. Good luck

Well this is interesting...

- no electronics/plumbing present -> no additional notifications after receiving bills

- electronics (such as computer/lamp) but no plumbing being present/used -> power shutoff warning and subsequent shutoff but still no plumbing shutoff (or repo visit) and few days later power is back on again

- only plumbing present/used -> same as first one

In summary bug occurs if household doesn't consume both power and water.
