I travel quite a bit and what I notice is that the counters on a lot of the aspiration milestones will show zero when you get to a new location. But in reality, it's only a visual thing. If you do something that would count and it increments, then the milestone counter resets itself to the correct value. In other words, you don't lose the progress. I also see it happen sometimes when I've made some progress on a milestone while I was traveling and it was showing zero when I got home. But the same thing happens, just make a little bit more progress after you get home and it resets to the correct value. Even if you don't make any progress, it will show correctly when you reload the household if you save and go to Manage Worlds or save and quit and then go back to the lot.
